Meditative, slow, plodding, ethereal. Drifting through a sunny spring afternoon, remembering youth and missing friends who have past. The name does not refer to Herb Ellis (the tune is moody but not smooth like Herb) or the documentary about him "An Afternoon with Herb Ellis", nor does it refer to the written works of Warren Ellis. Both of those artist are worth a look-up. The title popped out of my head but I was not even thinking (consciously) of Ellis island though there is plaenty of sent

Soundscape
Was included in album "Blimp Statik" but had very little distribution. Tale is of a flying music machine/studio that moonlights as invader scanner and radar jammer. Testament to virtual tape manipulation with tracks slowed reversed and echoed, accented with interspersed airport luggage carrier and engine samples.
