Americana
This was recorded at the legendary Palmyra Studios in Palmer, Texas. The directions to this studio are obscure. The song was recorded on an old console from the 1960's used to record the Who's "My Generation," thus giving it a more analog feel than most digital recordings today.
Credits: Glen Squibb (lead guitar), Jason Manriquez (bass), Dan Underhill (drums), Bumpkin (songwriter, acoustic guitar, vocals)

Music Style: A conglomeration of swing, old time country, and current alt-country.

Influences: Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam

Studio / Music Equipment: Palmyra Studios, Palmer, Texas, one of the few analog studios left. But they will be doing analog for a while, as they just bought a bunch of tape from a distributor that is now out of business. How sad. This recording "Nowhere to Go" is, however, digital, yet sounds more analog because of the console used, which dates back to the 1960's and was intended to be used by Abbey Road. Thankfully, it now sits about an hour south of where I live.
