Artist/Band Profile: Combining the whimsical with the weird, Murex tugs at the imagination of the listener by composing the majestic with the grotesque in order to form a truly polymorphic effect of sensations. This particular form of electronic music is primairly experimental, but Murex by more general terms would be considered Intelligent Ambience. Elements of artists such as Aphex Twin, Dark Soho, and Astral Projection are stewed into the Murex mixture, resulting in a diverse and unique sound that blends heavy drum loops and distorted samples with a wonderful surreal atmosphere.
