This may not sound good on earbuds, you should blast this on a system with a sub woofer. The track focuses on a laidback breaks style beat, textural background sounds, as well as a subtle bassline - with very few melodic elements. Because of this, it is more of a chillout / ambient piece, more for the background. Enjoy! Credits: music by: Gideon Marken Electronica a short track presenting what happens when an 80's electro vibe runs into a festive parade of brass and tabla drums. Credits: music by Gideon Marken Breakbeat A remix of a track called "Wrong Leg, Sucker (How To Spell Funk)" originally by "A Bit Crusher" Artistserver.com/abitcrusher - orig song: Artistserver.com/artist/song.cfm/a/416/tid/14201 - this remix is funk groove with a jungle section in the middle - enjoy. Credits: A Bit Crusher - remix by: Sonic Wallpaper Electronica huge beat + thick synths + funky melody = massive sound with attitude... Massitude Credits: music by Gideon Marken DownTempo A sly spy/detective sounding track which gives the impression someone is sneaking around, taking care of business... doing damage control. Credits: music by Gideon Marken Ambient House This is a remix of P9FM's track "Ahh Lucy" - it's a bit mellow, and could use some melodic element, but still works on it's own. Enjoy :) Credits: Orig By: P9FM Funk Remix of the 2007 'Internet hit' Chocolate Rain, by Tay Zonday. You may find your head rocking out to the song... if this happens, don't worry - go with it, and soon, you'll be on your feet doing some kind of wiggly side to side dance. Credits: Muisic By: Gideon Marken Electronic Dub An ambient dub track with filtered percussion that adds a nice backdrop for the underwater tones that drip up like bubbles of air. Credits: Muisic By: Gideon Marken Instrumental Rock This is one of those songs that has sat around unfinished for more than a year. Every few months, I'd pull it out, make some edits, record some new parts, then save it away. Finally... it's here for you to check out... OMG... yes, it's true, it's "That Scat Song" - the song you've been waiting for. Click it on, sing along, it's That Scat Song. Credits: Music By: Gideon Marken Funk This track started out going in a completely different direction - it had a very loud, dark sound. After a few listens, I deleted everything in the song but the drums and started over. Brillman, who hangs out here asked me where my funk went, this is the answer :) Credits: Gideon: samples, guitar, bass, scratching. Horns from a sample CD Minimal Experimental This piece can be described in three words: minimal glitch dub. It's built from glitch noises, a virtual synth, and a few drum samples drenched in reverb with some delay effects here and there. The piece doesn't have much to the structure, it's more of a texture with slight changes. This piece was inspired by the music of "Pole" which I just started listening to earlier this year. Credits: Music By: Gideon Marken Electronic Dub a blending of breaks and reggae with an upbeat tempo. Get up and move! Credits: Gideon: music Jungle Gentle Jones serves up another rich mixture of issues, intelligence, humor and truth. I supported it whith a thick bass, a hip hop groove and Jungle breaks. Credits: music by: Gideon Marken, vocals by: Gentle Jones Breakbeat a rocking track - breakbeat and rock. the rhythm guitars were in an open C tuning, the lead guitars were in standard concert pitch tuning. Credits: Music, sampling, production, bass, rhythm guitars, noises by Gideon __ Lead guitar parts by Greg Russell 0f DownTempo This song is structured around a guitar recording I made where I detuned the guitar until I found a nice and low, yet playable tuning - which ended up in the key of Bflat. From there, I built out the drums to support the changes, then learned the progression on my bass. Credits: Gideon: music Funky Breaks A fun and upbeat positive groove - get up and stomp! It started w/ the guitar samples from a random jam - then the stomp idea formed, then the beat came. I don't think this is the final version. Credits: Music By: Gideon Marken Breakbeat This track represents my first experiences w/ my new sampler... and how I didn't know how to use it... and how I accidently deleted all programs I created for this track. Due to this, the track was never finished, so you may hear a few errors here and there... or not :) Credits: Music By: Gideon Marken
