Artist/Band Profile: The Stolen Sweets repertoire is inspired by the unconventional arrangements of virtuosic vocalists and instrumentalists the Boswell Sisters (Martha, Connee and Vet), one of the most popular vocal groups of the 1930s. Unlike sister acts that came before and after them, these girls were gritty and progressive: they were classically trained instrumentalists who devised all their own arrangements (thanks to Marthas piano savvy) and sang lyrics intended solely for men.

NEW ALBUM IS HERE!!

Our first full-length record entitled "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" is now available at CD Baby.com. The record features some of Portland's finest musicians, including Sam Henry (drums), Skip vonKuske (cello), Nelly Kovalev (violin), Laird Halling (clarinet), Farnell Newton (trumpet), and Stephen Walker (trombone). Many of these musicians joined us for our sold-out CD release show June 3rd at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, Oregon.
