Well the Alesis IO|26 is pretty good but...

I trouble shot my Sonar that was doing drop-out almost immediately upon just *playing* a track by installing the updates to Sonar and made sure my rates and clock mastering were set. This seemed to work and I had a session with recording four tracks in simultaniously and no problem. Recorded another track besides that while monitoring out on the other four, no problem.

Today I sit in front of the computer, load Sonar, load song, hit play... blue screen.

Restart. Make sure network is disconnected. Virus check disabled. Load Sonar, load song, play, boom...blue screen. (and I did it one more time just to "make sure" I was seeing it right) something with Alesis1394.sys?

So I'm a bit miffed. Um one thing maybe to check out. What did I do between then (recording) and now (playback)? Hmmm... I DID just "upgrade" MS Media player from 10 to 11. Now THAT couldn't be a problem could it? I mean Microsoft wouldn't step on the toes of any program using its OS would it??

Gad.... what next?
