I have recently branched out and taken an opportunity to play with a couple of friends.
Firstly I paid a couple of visits to the studio of Hashtronaut. During the two sessions we played about 8 pieces, all of which were completely live and improvised with no preparation. We just switched on and played. The material was recorded as 2 stereos channels and then later mixed by Hashtronaut. He then produced a mix of several of the pieces which is available for free download at www.virb.com/pylene50. be warned though, it is an 80 minute monster. :-)
Secondly, following on from the success of these sessions we invited Modulator ESP to join us for a weekend of more live and improvised music. Over the 3 days we produced quite a lot of material. You can listen to some raw unedited versions of some of these pieces at www.virb.com/cerberus. The pieces are in the process of being mixed. No doubt more music will become available over the coming weeks. There is also short 8 minute video over on you tube.
