The future of music. I think that soon people will have their internet, cable and phone all bundled like a water utility bill and each house will just have one monthly utility for media. This will generate a "pool" of money from which artists will be paid through the digital distribution of their music. Aggregates will determine the amount of money to be paid to artists based on the number of plays. New technologies will enable the media utility companies to know exactly how many plays a song gets. Digital distribution will enable an artist to have the potential to be heard in billions of homes. People will still want to purchase musical collectables, but it will no longer be plastic CDs. It will probably be some type of media or collectable. Anyways, the future of the music industry is an exciting frontier, indeed! -Matthew Cepican A&R Vesuvius Records
