Listening To: BOC - In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country
I have been playing with it since Saturday, The first Analog synth I have ever heard in the flesh. I'm suprised at how easy it is to use, I have come up with a few sounds I quite like. I did spend the first hour scratching my head as to why there was no sound coming out of the machine. It turns out two of the patch cables supplied don't work. The one module that I can't get my head around is the A-190 Midi - CV module. I'm currently trying to figure out how to change the retrigger type for the ADSR's. You have to do it via midi program change, but it's not playing ball.
The first sounds I came up with:
A-100 Test1 - There is no sequencing on this sound. The rhythmical clicks are coming from the audio divider module. Careful with your levels towards the end!
A-100 Test2 - Lots of subtle pitch modulation.
A-100 Test3 - The best one I have come up with so far. I think I was using hard sync with this one. More subtle modulation from the random volt/noise module.
A-100 Test4 - The sub sound is the multimode filters res being triggered by an LFO. Careful with your levels ! ! !
A-100 Test5 - It's the random volt's again.
A-100 Test6 - This is my first attempt at using a different Env for each Osc. It's very handy being able to use all the outputs from any module. You can run the normal output of an ADSR to an amp for the Osc and use the inverse output for the filter.
One of the first things I descovered; I need more patch cables. I ran out on test 1 and 5  plus the random volt/noise module is my favorite toy atm.
There are loads of modulation options. It could do with a third Osc though. The led's on the LFO's are cool! They don't just blink on and off, they fade!
