My
Spider Bait project was born from both a reflection on the way the world is run and previous efforts to create a mythological landscape with Fairies, Elves, and suchlike. The blog consists of two fictional characters, Lendria and Cognatio, who meditate on the uses of media and materials. At the bottom of the page is a Google AdSense ad, next to a third character—spider-chan. The ads, being content specific, will relate to the material or media discussed in the blog. This section covers film.
There are a couple of rules as well:
- No brand names.
- No political advocacy.
- No medling with AdSense results.
My measure for success is simply the applicability of the AdSense ad—which is really AdSense's measure for success (I would assume). Hopefully, this blog will point people to higher quality, more specialized sponsored links (and make me a little pocket change of course). So far, the results have been pleasing.

P.S.
The blog is not Interet Explorer ready. Please, do the world a favor and download
a real browser. As far as Mozilla goes, I'm rather proud of the layout—I think it looks and behaves great.
EDIT: I've updated the blog so it's now viewable on IE. But it's not as pretty. Please leave a comment if there are any Javascript bugs, which will screw up the formatting. Also feel free to suggest better coding techniques, as I kind of doubt my javascritp solution is the best one for the job. Actually I'm 100% sure it's not—the best solution would be to somehow convince everybody to stop using IE and switch to a Mozilla derivative.
