Not enough space in my present dwelling... so I'm adding on... not by much but enough so I dont have to keep breaking down my set up after each session. A very humble space... an odd shape but its all the lot setback allows... a mere 6.5 feet by 16 feet. Nice that a hot spell has started up, my pasty white skin will fry and peel. Been some 10 year since I engaged in an earnest building project, hope I havent forgotten much. Is fiberglass insulation enough to dampen street noise? Well I'm thinking of beefing the walls up with a layer of styrofoam insulation (will help avoid the heat here too)

Flashback to this pre blogsite post in 1997 (things were a little rough for me in the '90s)

"Life's twists and turns have taken me by surprise. I am not the man I thought I'd be. If not for the ability to take delight in simple things I would have left this realm long ago.

A new year ('98) approaches as I write this. I used to think the revolution was coming sooner, now I doubt it will ever be.
I feel I may need to change my mind about saving mankind. It would seem to be a thankless and impossible task. We need numbers to survive, yet these very numbers may be the downfall of this gismo crazy world. Maybe we can build ourselves fresh bionic or cloned bodies in the future, but what sort of life would that be?
Would our minds feel clean inside some neoprene machine?

So my fleshy organs push the buttons of this mind sucking monster and pours my synaptic spasms onto the Delphian eye before you. What wisdom and dreams abound in the universe are there to be found. I cling to mine and hope your capacity for absorbing and giving love expands to embrace you closely to the bosom of all bliss."

***********
Today:
Things have gotten better some ways, and worse in others, but I'm more me than I've ever been before. Still learning to find the bliss. Pretty sure now though that the answer cant be found on the internet. Im pretty sure bliss comes in feeling vital, alive, powerful enough. Alive as in heart-throbs and thunderheads, babycrys and lovers sighs. Bliss is knowing other's happiness too.

Machines can feel no pain
but they distrust
acid and heavy rust
their minds
generate no sparks
of laughter
they question not the whip
or button pushing master
but they can crush your skull
and snap your arms and legs off
and survive atomic disaster
