Black Coat is a dark an uncomplicated track with a strong compelling vocal, a simple construction but very effective. I wrote this song around the words of a poem created by Brian Patten, and after seeking his kind permission to use the words, here it is. The lines are from his book called "Collected Love Poems." Thanks Brian.

A fast paced electronic love song about the hurt pain and suffering caused when a relationship is in deep and troubled waters, an emotional roller coaster ride without the buffers.

________________________________________

David John Duckworth has been creating and producing music for thirty years on and off, experimenting with lots of styles groups and different recording techniques.
Also as a diverse lyric and poetry writer, some of his pieces are captured in the book "Verse Songs and Inserts" produced in 1997.
His journey began at the age of thirteen, playing punk and rock guitar with some vocals in the 70s and 80s, then on to keyboards and electronics in the 90s, he now creates Computer music for the new millennium.

Born and raised in the back streets of suburban St Helens Lancashire as it was back then, it was life in the fast lane growing up in a strong and healthy working class environment. This helped to build the firm foundations of a very active, creative and assertive mind both lyrically, poetically and musically.
Eventually breaking away from sweet suburbia to a complete change of lifestyle and scenery, he moved to Kendal in the Lake District in the early eighties, but continued to produce, play and record with new artist’s and bands, as well as carrying on with his own work.

Now after the dawn of the new millennium he has become a much more reclusive solo artist with a fresh modern musical outlook and attitude, and is ultimately set to express himself with a new exciting and unique blend of computer generated technology.
Most of the work he's creating now are solo projects especially instrumentals and soundscapes.
Currently selling and promoting some of his music on the Internet with his latest CD "The Parables Of Artistic Creativity" he says this is a positive way forward and a golden opportunity to get your sounds out there and listened to.
One thing he can always relate to in life is

Similar Artists: Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, OMD, Ultravox, Visage, Blancmange, Magazine, Nick Cave.

Music Style: Welcome to the world of David John Duckworth & The Sparrowmire Studio UK.

My main influence is electronic music or to give it another title, Computer Generated Electronic Synthesis, that’s music created on a computer using a wide array of beats styles instruments and samples to create various tunes which I then put on to CD to collate unique and individual albums.

At the moment I have created Nine CD albums in the last 9 years, my latest release is featured as a debut Internet CD called “The Parables Of Artistic Creativity” and is proving to be quite successful so far. All the music is mixed down at my home studio conveniently called The Sparrowmire Studio.

Most of my work could be classed as a full audio experience through many various stages, including audio production, audio editing, and designing the product cover, It’s like harnessing an idea from the initial concept and ultimately ending up with the final CD shrink-wrapped and ready to be dispatched and played around the world.

In all the years I’ve played, recorded and studied music, the material I am creating now gives me the most pleasure. The quality of this high end production is unique, and within the vast musical sphere that is available now, in an ever growing digital era it is therefore unsurpassed, Where will we be in the year 3000?

Review on " Quieter Times Ahead - on Bedrooom Amdience Four "

Review Posted - April 2004

One of the albums high points sees David J Duckworth (whose latest album ‘The Parables of Artistic Creativity’ from which this is taken we are duty bound to recommend you track down) pamper us with the elegantly arranged ‘Quieter times ahead’ which can only be described as classic Primal Scream having a fist fight with Jah Wobble’s Invaders of the Heart, magnificent stuff. Fighting for the mantle of coolest cut.

"D J Duckworth & The Parables Of Artistic Creativity CD"

REVIEW POSTED - JANUARY 2003 -

David John Duckworth follows in the long line of music lovers and musicians, who for years enjoyed creating their own music in home studios, building up a mountain of material with no real plans to do anything with it! Then, one day they think to themselves, "I wonder if" and a demo is born!

This is how Enraptured came to hear some of the many works of D.J. Duckworth and was suitably impressed enough to tag a track for the forthcoming compilation, "Bedroom Ambience 4" due out on Enraptured Records in March 2004.
