DIMORA DEL PADRINO

Artist/Band Profile: This group was born in 1995 in italy, during the first years of the spread of the hip hop phenomenon. A quintet (Magik Flow, Doctor Jhò, Aspano Frode, Mario Drama, Tony Campanella) carachterised by underground elements and creativity. In their first work titled “Atto primo, contro le avversità” and dated 1997 becomes manifest the excitement to be an active part inside the Sicilian scene of that period. The productions are edited and arranged by Docto Jhò, who with the rest of the team produce a cocktail of texts and sour atmospheres painted by surreal visions.
In 2001, Magik Flow, a member of the group, starts as music producer and finds the way to gather in his personal work “Musicall Mafia” some of his countless ideas and ways to develop music using digital synthesizers and workstations, futuristic madnesses and goliardic timbres.
The 2004 marks the new entries of Mario Drama and Tony Campanella, phonics and producers, endowed with a notable brightness and open to innovation. The two fellows give birth to “Qualcosa del genere” the Aspano Frode’s first solo performance. In this work there are different vocal featurings in step with the varied and mixed experiments of music research of the group.
