Artist/Band Profile: I am known as jKurve, aka Joe Kurve, the ONE and ONLY. I have been producing music in some from or another for about 14 years or so at the time of this writing, give or take some depending on when you woke up and realized that me and my shizz are NO joke.

Skip all the krap that comes afterwards, let a few years go by, relocate, relocate, and then relocate again and AGAIN, and we end up here. New equipment, new songs, new album, and now very bad videos are being born. :P

Thanks for all the support over the years...and for those of you that said I would never go anywhere...thank you for inspiring me. I would not have done it without you. Be proud - your energies of hate helped someone else - NOT YOU.

Similar Artists: Prodigy? Chemical Brothers? Nintendo? Kinda of a weird question, asking me to judge myself, right? So let's just be honest, shall we?

I write music because if I didn't I would have nothing to listen to. Rare is the song, of ANY GENRE, that speaks to me, telling me to find out WHO the artist is. There are a billion "musicians" these days, but the real ARTISTS are just as rare as they ever were. The good music is still there, it's just harder to find, lost in the thick fog of remixes and emulations being conjured by all these peeps that think they can write music just cuz they can bob their head on beat.

I'll tell you something - ANYBODY can make sound. Hell, ANYBODY can make MUSIC (it's RELATIVE - what I call music others may not, and vis versa) with a little bit of technology to hold his hand. So you can make some noise with a computer...but can you tell me WHAT you did? Time and key sigs, rhythms...can you even walk up to a piano and play the rhythm you just programmed in the machine? Making music is not what makes you a musician. An ARTIST.

Music is easy to make. Check this out: when you can pick up a brush, dip it in beautiful soundstyles and then bring to life something that lives on its own - something that has its own energy, its own personality, its own, truly original flavor - THAT is when you have truly been an artist, my friend. It's not the creation of music that makes you an artist - it's the way in which you go about it.

Basically, I write music because there are no artists similar to me, therefore I can't find the music I want to listen to and must make it. It just so happens other people like to listen to it too, so I can't be that crazy.

Tell you what - why don't YOU contact me and tell me who YOU think I sound like, and I'll be sure update this fill.in.with.text.box.thingy.ASAP.

Music Style: 'Unikuely bNt' - my style IS me.

Funky, jazzy, and inventive. Without boundaries, free-spirited and upbeat. Rhythmically complex, melodically captivating, keeper of the unusually original, bringer of floor stomping eNeRGy, and the most feared enemy of silence.

Reviews: "Odd amalgamation of industrial, techno, and hip-hop covered in itchy acid effects. Catchy melodies mold to stiffened rhythms." - Listen.com

"Wow...nice track. And very different to most of the productions we hear on this forum, a refreshing change. Yeah that Piano is awesome and the build of synths towards the end really gets you going again for an excellent climax. Wasn't too sure about this when it started but by the end...woah...i love it. Thank You." - Posted by 'RaverBabySy' in the TranceAddict.com forums

"Cool super funky digital underground!
Excellent mood! Turned this baby up real loud, tweaked the sub woofers and started moving along to the percussion.. hehe cool effort. Program sequence sounds truly pro.. the programmer knows his sounds and has a gift in being able to put together some great sounds backed with a cool beat. Nice dynamic break downs. Syth sounds really compliment the overall mix. Love your work, keep it up." - Review by 'acelouis' on Garageband.com

Influences: The Lone Deranger, Astral Projection, Psilly-X, DJ Yahel, Infected Mushroom, ph4n, The Crystal Method, Rabbit in the Moon, Roni Size, Fatboy Slim, Uberzone, Tool, Prodigy, NiN, Suicide Commando, Soman, any GOOD music, regardless of genre, etc. & etc.

MORE IMPORTANTLY: Every unsigned artist that is aggressively tackling the 'mainstream' sound with that of his own. These are the artists that re-invent that to which we have grown accustomed with the latest, greatest, BEST new noise. *cough* NicSac * cough *
