For Downtempo, you can never have TOO MUCH trippy echoing effects!! (just kidding) but really nice job with the delays on the creepy leads. When that bass comes in, the song really takes off into the next dimension. Oh wow. Way sexy drum kit in the last half of this track. Amazing job.

Ahhhhh:) What a track, just too cool, i've probably heard it about 10 times already this evening and it's one of the VERY few tracks that i feel could actually have been even longer! Say 10 minutes? Just puts me into a sweet state of mind; spiritual, meditative, peaceful and succulently groovy:D Summary: Superb structure, mood & sounds in this Down Tempo masterpiece=Check now!

This track makes a very decent stab at reggae in it's dub form and I would’nt hesitate to say that this is the strong point of the track:) Some of the other sounds don't do it for me though, i.e. the "cheezy" organ sound and also the melodica later on. But this certainly has a nice vibe & groove and also lives up to it's title as it sounds very positive and has a definite "live" club feel to it, I can easily imagine people dancing to this as it pours out of a massive PA in a dark, smoky venue packed full of people... sorry got a bit carried away there;-) Summary: Does’nt quite cut it as a song IMO but parts of it are excellent, especially from 2:30-2:54, please make this part much longer with even more dub. Great clarity and a clean sound are also on the + side. Wonderful deep bass:)

First off, i like breaks.
I had a number of mp3s set up and when this one came up, i immediately took notice. The playful sounds (like a happy apple) with the stright forward breaks worked very well, the breakdown with the guitar is a nice touch that adds a 2nd stretching pad effect.
I think the layering was nicely done, but a bit hurried. the ending also seemed to be quite abrupt, but a lovely song nonetheless. I suggest a little resturcturing and lenghtening.

Nice bass playing combined with a solid, down-tempo groove and plenty of spacey atmospherics. Download this!

this is one of the best songs i heard on ES in weeks!
It starts with some very nice bleeps creating a cool rhytm, then this lovely minimal breakbeat comes in and the track gets very groovy. then a very nice bass comes in, it's a real bass, played by a human and that's great!
and those pads!! i love them. they set a great mood. wow. everytime i hear it, i fell in love with them. just when you think; there needs to be something new in the track, a nice simple synth line enters. i could groove on this for hours. but wait there's another important thing to come in the track.. a lovely bass solo, almost sounding like a guitar. it enters the track after a nice break. And then i thought: 'yes! what a track'.
AWESOME JOB!

"Soulsighting" by Kat Yidaki has a very "human" sound to it, iow it does'nt sound very programmed, which is probably due to the excellent drums and the super slick & funky bass:) Sounds like the bass was played live?? Also this track feels like a jam, which is nice, kind of let's everything take it's time. Love the passage from 2.45-3.20 and also the 1st breakdown with the slapbass. Only thing that i personally missed was a solo of some sorts, i.e. a sax, synth, guitar, whatever. Was expecting one in the 2nd half of the song. Summary: Great groove with a very positive Funky feel. For those of you tired of dancing to Techno or House get on down to this:)
