Song Description
A sonic impression from the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky, particularly as expressed in works like Composition #8, Yellow Accompaniment, In the Black Square, White Dot, etc, which, in a way brings the idea full circle. Kandinsky was also an accomplished musician and was totally absorbed by the relationships between music and painting. Being a synaesthete, he saw sound as color, and associated tone with timbre, hue with pitch, and saturation with the volume of sound.
