A Dark and somber song about a grief strickened man's final minutes on earth as he can no longer stand the death of his wife who died in an air crash and takes his own life. Based on the poem I wrote back in '86 Share this Song

Song Lyrics
Soliloquy of a loner afraid of the day, as he sits and remembers, his love has flown away. Gone on glistening white wings which moved faster than sound. As she left she said, "I will return..." but now each passing day is an eternity. Sitting, he stares at the paper and it screams back at him, "no survivors found..." He reaches over and kills the light. Moon rays rushing toward their prey. Passing through the darkness, hinting at the plot glinting over the blue-steel thus... bringing it into the play. A tear rolls clumsily down his face, for he feels no disgrace as releases the hammer which knows only one law. The hammer's quest is quickly ended as it connects and lights the night with a spark. A spark that flashes over a red spray as death rolls toward him, he calls out "Forever and a Day" and falls... Mstemen 3-3-85 | ||
