Completed my first machinima. Building a New World The subject is explained in the YouTube description. It is a short music video using "The Takeover" by ProtostarR. Video is a choppy edit resulting in a time-lapse movie of a build in Second Life. Video quality was compromised for the sake of file size; will be experimenting with export settings (Camtasia)...next will reduce dimensions (400px x 300px ?) and crank up colors again. Soundtrack turned out well, don't you think? Here are a couple of music other videos at YouTube also using Second Life f

generally the thinking is that Humanity's first vectors into posthumanity will be when we start using direct brain-computer interfaces to augment our minds and explore virtual worlds in the Metaverse- and that this will be accomplished using nanotechnology introduced into the brain-
however in recent years a non-invasive direct brain-computer interface has emerged from Japan using ultrasound technology to read/trigger/suppress action potentials at each neuron in the brain- and just this week this idea was shown to be possible http://www.physorg.com

Theoretical proof of stable and measurable states extending over twoquantum dots and creating offspring has now been provided for the firsttime. This supports the notion of what is known as Quantum Darwinism, which makes the selection and reproduction of quantum mechanical statesresponsible for the way in which our reality is perceived. Theseresults of an Austrian Science Fund FWF project were recently publishedin Physical Review Letters and will play a part in the future development of quantum information technology. PhysOrg.com

October 10, 2008 By BOB KOSTANCZUK Post-Tribune staff writer There is no doubt Megan Nicole has her sights on country music stardom.
