Title: Quantum Archeology

my friend Eldras has recently put up his excellent article on Quantum Archeology at the Internet Archive QA is the newish idea- born from the unavoidable implications of being finite physical entities in an infinite quantum multiverse governed by causality: none of us can remian dead forever- we are patterns in neurons and we live an a world of simple consistent physical laws that is locally bounded- this means that in the vast infinity of the multiverse- each of us- and every being that could exist is reconstructed by simulations of physics and the worlds/beings

'Far From Hopeless' is a track I produced under a different name (fun with sunfish), which was then given to a friend named Clever Chris to lay down some vocals, featuring homie Goldwon - both representing the Bay Area [sanctuary...]. I'll post the lyrics up soon. I've also uploaded 'You've got a Trip on Your Shoulder', which is a nice little track to just couchlock into. There's a few more tracks... but you'll find that out later... I need a bowl of prop215 medicine to clear my head. but yea. if you like beats and stuff... synths... quasi-ambient environments... check i

Listening To: The hum of the plane engine being repaired in the hangar next to me.
The end of the year always seems to hit me as both a revelation and a let down. There is the entire last twelve months to review and reflect upon, highs and lows, and then the relization that time is indeed continuing to move forward and we are fast approaching a new year. Here comes 2009 and all of the new challenges (and hopefully changes) that it will hold. We will have a new President, I will become a parent, and both of these facts fill me with anticipation and anxiety. I'm not sure that I myself, or my country, are truly ready to face the sacrifices needed in order to achieve the r

"I wanted to remind people that the division is not only two countries but the world. And visiting the DMZ; the view was spectacular, and a real sightseeing adventure, looking into the past, historically and hopefully looking into the future peacefully". The DMZ (the demilitarized zone) above the 38th parallel between North Korea and South Korea. The DMZ stretches across the Korean Peninsula from East to West (155 miles).
Throughout the visit, we are constantly reminded not to take photos, and only at selected secur

just when you think you might have a loose grasp on the strange multiverse of the quantum- someone has gone and made things even more strange: quantum information processing without entanglement [?] yet with nonclassical processes “we used the smallest possible example: a circuit with just two qubits, one pure and one mixed. We ran a phase-estimation algorithm as a small example, and found in every setting there was zero entanglement, but that most of the states couldn’t be described efficiently in a classical manner... ...We’re still chewing through the implications” &
