Illbient "Did you tell her how crazy I am? You think she knows? You know I'm really that crazy, you know. Very crazy I am. Verrrrry crazy. And you're so beautiful." Ambient A little something I threw together as potential soundtrack material for a friend's short film. With guitar by J.P. Costaz. Breakbeat A combo remix of fingertwister's Stretched and Pamplemousse's Spooky Interference. An unusual track for me - prog breakbeat? Builds you up then eases you down. Credits: the Opponent Process/fingertwister/Pamplemousse Breakbeat It's 2, 2, 2 tracks in one. Starts out with a simple wavey ambient passage that steps up to some heavy breakbeat weirdness. Credits: the Opponent Process DownTempo A little transitional piece that is more an exercise in arrangement and composition than anything else. Credits: Made almost exclusively with unaltered samples from e-labs sweden: www.e-lab.se/ DownTempo Sleazily wonky down tempo loaded with backwards guitar. Some groovy bass, too. My best received track to date. Illbient From mildly frenetic to wanderingly cavernous, it's a twisted little journey through in-between places. With guitar by Adrian Bond. Breakbeat A joint remix of CRELM's "Never" and BeatTRibe's "Lamplight." Big beats and breaks with heavy bass and vocal sampling. Credits: the Opponent Process/CRELM/BeatTRibe Soundscape Just me fooling around with various field recordings I've made. Credits: the Opponent Process Dark Ambient Music with film in mind. Darkly atmospheric with much delay. Waves of tension crashing on a crawling shore. Spooky stuff, Bob! Credits: the Opponent Process Abstract Ambient A mixed version of 'socket journey' with considerably more high-end activity. Dark, ominous, a tad creepy even. Your basic heavily effected weirdness. Illbient Just a small track to get the juices going again after a prolonged musical dryspell. This track features a recording made at a friend's place while a bunch of us talked over wine and beers; this is Crystal telling us about her short-lived bank job. Credits: the Opponent Process Illbient More vocal manipulation. Every sound was processed to incomprehensibility from the nun's confession to her priest in "Bad Lieutenant." As gideon saya, "Trippy." Note: this track has nothing to do with coffee. Credits: the Opponent Process/justus hayes Trip Hop My ubermix of 3 tracks by Danny K - Silence Between the Words, Because of This, and St George. Dark and shadowy, dreamy corridors, ominous grooves. Credits: Danny K, the Opponent Process Breakbeat Confessions of BC's frankly frightening Premier. Gordon Campbell gets nailed for drunk driving in Maui and then abases himself on TV. But keeps his job. Fucking hypocrite. Credits: Words and idiocy by Gordo himself. Music by the Opponent Process. DownTempo An ubermix of 5 Sonic Wallpaper tracks. Mellow and atmospheric with just enough chill. Credits: the Opponent Process/Sonic Wallpaper Illbient I have no idea how to classify this track. Once again, a blend of 2 different tracks - the first half is kind of breakbeaty and the second half is more a dark illbient/ambient/beat bass-heavy beat thing. You tell me. Featuring a number of the field recording I've captured and which can also be heard in "Interchange 3." Credits: the Opponent Process Illbient My remix of Master Kush's "Paranormal Star." Very very unlike the original with plenty of additional samples worked in. Credits: original by Master Kush Illbient My entry into the first ElectronicScene remix contest. Credits: Original loops by the ElectronicScene Illbient CRELM's "5AM" remixed in a narrative kind of way. The track tells a little story about the joys of insomnia. Credits: the Opponent Process/CRELM DownTempo My megaremix of many sporophyte downtempo/triphop tracks. I can't thank him enough for access to these samples. Pure gold, baby!! It's got some wicked funk and more beats than you can hit with a bag of hammers. Very full, very rich, very groovy. Ch Credits: the Opponent Process/sporophyte Big Beat A remix-in-progress of my brother's band, Earthmen. They can funk it up, ya. Credits: Original material by Earthmen. Dark Ambient A dreamy and surreal cinematic rendering. Almost every sound was processed from a "R&GareD" monologue I recorded one rainy Sunday. Credits: the Opponent Process Illbient A tribute to Hunter S. Thompson, gonzo journalist. Featuring synthesized voice reading the first paragraph of "F&LiLV." A twisted, illbienty romp through a dark landscape of recreational substances and illicit chemicals. Don't try this at home, kids Credits: the Opponent Process Progressive Electronica A remix of Yorky's "Rubycon" that I did back in 2000. Just had a listen and decided it still stands up. Kind of a prog breakbeat thing - reminds me of "Spooky Stretch" in some ways. Lots of guitar. Credits: original samples by Yorky Illbient An older one that has been given a light tweaking. Wonky circus funk. Credits: Some samples provided by Shmee/lepig/octal40 Drum n' Bass Something of a work in progress for a friend's short film. Credits: the Opponent Process DownTempo An oldie but a goodie. I put this one together years ago in response to all the "Sexy Tiffany" nonsense on mp3.com. It was gratifying to learn she was a big fake after all. :-) Credits: the Opponent Process/justus hayes Big Beat My submission to the 80x80x80 project. Mad congas and industrial-sized staple racks. Credits: the Opponent Process/justus hayes Abstract Ambient Is this a track or just an experiment? Either way, it's weird. Illbient A work in progress Credits: samples by the ES bb; composed by the Opponent Process Remix Sample Packs These are the samples for the track "Cold Coffee." Please feel free to remix at will, but let me know! All samples were processed from the nun's confession to her priest in "Bad Lieutenant" but are unrecognizable as such.
