A letter I've written to the sleepers of the world who get all fidgety around me and try to pressure me into "behaving". Screw them! Personally speaking, I'm all excited about this one because I finally got the hang of using the vocoder on my voice. It sounds totally sweet.

You know what's bad for your health? Staying in one situation for too long. Dealing with the same people in the same place under the same routine. "Given Next" means "take what you are given, use it, and be open to whatever may come next." 6/2 F# major.

Another example of how I'm gravitating toward more live-sounding instruments in my mixes. This particular song makes use of some fast-paced "guitar" playing. (People even ask me if the guitar is real!) Quite pleasant and entertaining, if you ask me. 4/4 time.

When we force someone into a place that is not his niche, all we do is create stress for everyone involved. Oh, how nice it would be for everyone to be aligned in his or her proper niche again. (A man can dream, can't he?) 8/4 beats, A# major.

A feel-good instrumental that you'll want to listen to over and over in preparation for hearing it over and over and over. 4/4. F minor.

Artist/Band Profile: Have you ever been stopped dead in your tracks by something that, in retrospect, seems like it should have been very obvious, but hadn't occurred to you at the time? And then you find yourself reflecting, rethinking your entire approach wondering how you'd gotten to such a state that you'd overlook something so important, so fundamental, so vital? Yeah. That's Reconsiderate.

All perceptions, thoughts, opinions, strategies, memories and et cetera are based upon axioms-- assertive assumptions that cannot be proven. For Reconsiderate, the most inspirational experience is one that shatters these axioms and leaves him in a place that is unfamiliar and unstable, yet lucid and real. Such experiences remind him that absolutely anything is possible, and that he plays a role in determining what comes to pass in his life.

This is the fundamental concept around which Reconsiderate's thoughts are based, and toward which his work in music and other media strives.

Reconsiderate's music sounds a bit like Bjork and John Linnell (from They Might Be Giants) got together and had a baby, but then it got orphaned in some terrible accident, only to be picked up and raised by Tool. People usually describe it as "unusual", "unique", "weird" or something along those lines. But, really, he's just making music the way music is supposed to be made: completely at random with little to no foresight of what will follow.

Technically speaking, Reconsiderate writes and mixes everything on his computer, often in a loop-based style. He enjoys playing with a variety of scales, time signatures and layouts. Some of the songs are instrumental, while others have lyrics. In those with lyrics, the words are delivered in a half-sung, half-spoken style, and tend to have a somewhat hard or ironic edge.

Music Style: Weird music for weird weirdos who are weird.

Technically speaking, the songs are composed using computer software, often in a loop-based style, and the confrontational lyrics are delivered in a half-sung, half-spoken style. It's great if you're into unusual sounds.
