Love the mood in this one, it's so mysterious and rather solemn. Very introvert and sort of brooding. The mix is, as always with Icotec, impeccable, it's crystal clear, well spread out with tons of ideas and interesting sounds floating about. The intro is excellent and really made me listen with high expectations. My references are too limited to be able to compare this to anything i've heard before but it is beautiful and creative at the same time. I like the way the drums are ever so light here, giving more space for the synths. Not a duff sound here actually and the telephone signal mixed deceptively low was cool. "Two Fire Finks" is not my favourite by Icotec as it sort of loses it's first freshness past the halfway mark. Perhaps cut back some of the sounds or beats? A change? Not sure.....perhaps more fresh melodies towards the end to keep me interested?? Hmmmm? Don't take my word for it though, just listen without predjudice......

First off i wouldn't call this Ambient House despite the rather chilled out intro as the mood is mostly very energetic and upbeat, it would probably work very well on a dancefloor. In fact this sounds more like Dance/House and is very reminiscent of Classic Daft Punk from ยด96 or French House in general. Having said that it's really good and G.D. kept me guessing the whole way what was coming next. Dig the deep bass that is constantly on the upbeat, the somewhat unusual sounds, the filters and the song structure. Should definitely have been much longer though, hence my rather low song rating. Sweet but too short iow. Also the sound quality could be better. Enjoyed it:)

Love the vibe in this one. Cool, funky beats with lot's of stereophonic (!) atmospherics floating amidst the fairly simple midtempo groove. The main synth stays throughout and sort of implies that things are gonna get nasty but they never do. Lot's of attention to detail and unusual fx, fills & DJ type antics here & there make for an interesting & enjoyable listen. Two critical points though. 1) Should'nt be in the Classical dept. I'm sure the Minimalist epitaph would be more suitable in the Techno dept. (Minimal Techno/Electro?). 2) As usual with me i always want a change and so here too, i.e. a B part would have been great. On the other hand i must say i was pretty hooked for the most part and never really got sick of "Serve em' up" thanks to the excellent beats. Nice one:)

I especially liked the intro and the way the bass arp attacks the track and really get's the groove going, nice. The build and breakdown's are good but i would have expected even more crazy synth sounds in certain parts and also more usage of panning effects, just realized this sounds like it's in mono? Is it? Not sure? Some interesting percussion and mostly good choice of synth sounds. I actually do have some Psy Trance on CD even though it's not something i play very often. Pretty good stuff all in all but the sound quality could have been better, i think it would have enhanced my listening experience and therefore increased my song rating. I just checked your other two tracks and they had a much better sound quality with more use of the stereo field so this confirms my suspicion;-)

With a title "Stretch like a cat" i should have known what to expect, hehe... But i did'nt and was immediately sucked into this hypnotic, crazy groove by the female voice pronouncing the aforementioned words. The beat is scanty and light, most prominent is the hi-hat, the kick only enters later on, as far as i can tell, and there are no chords whatsoever. But i love the timbres & rythms employed in this one. This music comes across as being Old School and innovative at the same time? Love the synth figures and the main "melody" that bends out of shape so nervwreckingly often. The changes before 2" are cool and keep the track fresh and interesting. The lady then returns just to say "Again" and we are once more put into a full "Techno" swing again, or at least M.C.'s version of Techno. This is great and the humour & playfullness transcribed through the music are what keep this track from becoming just plain silly. Check:D
