A great lo-fi intro. Lots of energy here with some very creative use of samples. Love the juxtaposition with the very lo-fi (off vinyl) vocal samples and the higher fi drums. The vocals begin to wear a little thin by 2:30 however. The basic ACID sample slightly before 3 not only was a huge turn off, but it clashes horribly with the vocals which re-enter. They are not at all the same chord progression. By 4 minutes this track which had such great promise has devolved into a mess. Basic samples are now popping out all over. This is really a shame - this track started with such life and clarity to only end like it does - unfocused, newbie-ish, and disappointing. Some definate strengths here through - stick with those, delete the acid sample files that came with the disk, and the HIP will have some definate promise.

Gets a head full of steam and attacks from the very beginning. The electronic kick whips a booty into shape, and the snare lets you know this ain't no weak shee-at at work. Very repetative, but in this type of track, that's par for the course. I have no idea what the name really means, but in my book its good. :)

A spooky intro with lots of great textures. Also a great selection of a drum kit - fits with the other pieces nicely. these pieces really go together nicely. I would almost venture to say this is like NIN at their more melodic, mellow moments. There is a lot of tension and distress in this track, but it's so mellow its catch. Excellent job. Especially the transition into the second half of the piece at 4:50. Very masterful indeed. This is getting put on my hard-drive. :)

Nothing short of an epic at 11:29, whokilledme is a goa track that starts out true to genera form - had to double check to make sure I wasn't listening to Eat Static. Nice set of sounds going on in the beginning - very full with lots going on without sounding too busy. hippocampal gives the right amount of legroom for the track to develop - he lets each part open up and breath. By the 2 minute mark the foot is firmly on the accelerator but it's a very comfortable speed - we don't even notice the time flying by. At 5:30 ANOTHER part is added, and I can't believe how this track has grown. Half way done, and the beats still keep coming. For those that want a great dance track that simply does not stop, whokilledme is it. Great work.

Great aggressive start. Nice and loud, if a little muddy. Not quite sure if the pad in the background is in the same key as the guitars - not sure if this was intentional to add dissonance and tension. The movements between the quiet and loud parts at first were nice, but later on it felt as if any kind of momentum or vibe being created was disrupted. Some very good ideas here - I'm just not quite sure about the implementation.
