I do like these guys, I've heard a few of thier tracks, and one thing they don't lack is ideas. I like thier aproach, in as much as they craft their tracks around great sounds. An interesting blend of old school analogue and contemporary synth sounds, of which this track is no exception. Very industrial, somewhat dystopic, but highly listen-able. These guys like to get thier ideas down, and they succeed in an interesting and original way.

Nice lush pad at the intro, my kind of sound:) The beat that comes in is nice too in a beefy kind of phat agressive way, interesting combination. Quite industrial, heavy electronic stabs, nice. A nice take on the IDM slant, not quite "Warp" sounding, (not a bad thing), but suffiently bouncy and leftfield to be definately IDM.
Nice audio field, getting more the second time around, picking up more layers, nice flutes and little subtle effects spaced here and there.
I'm not getting any strong images from this track, which is interesting, which isn't to say I dislike it, on the contrary, I think this track is excellent, I think it needs to mature a little on my hard drive. There is a lot of content to digest here, rich layers and textural.

Since I'm in an IDM mood, thought I'd give this a blast. Nice dark, curious sequence riff at the outset. I like the melody, nice chord combination. Understated rhythm elements, just enough to carry the sequence, not overly building up but rather moving along and layering subtle textures. I like this, quite tasty, ends a bit quick though, felt it was going somewhere...perhaps a little frustrating. Nice sounds, like the hollow pads mid way and the subtle bass stabs.
Overall, good track, I liked it a lot, could have done with a bit more of it, which is a good thing, but happy with what I got;)

The track begins with a prominent and unusual dark, deep resonant synth sound, detuning itself as it decays. This gives way to smoother lighter pads and ethereal floating melodies indicate the vastness and emptiness of space. The track is nicely paced; the initial melodies fading out and building back up again to a more climactic and ominous finale. Something big seems to be approaching...the planet maybe. The increasing volume on the initially beautiful melodies seems to suggest control is being lost. Their notes now seem sad; the realisation that doom is imminent manifests their structure. The end section reinforces this gloomy finale with a darker reprise of the intro deep resonating sound.
I noticed a very clear narrative trajectory in this track, the pace and arrangement are very well conceived and executed. It is a soundtrack to a science fiction passage. A space ship seems to be crashing on an alien planet. The ships inhabitants know this, and the music indicates their fate by the striking melodic notes that start gently, but increase in volume. They also seem to become more unstable, and as said sad...like its too late to do anything about the inevitable.
In summary, a very well composed and arranged track that underlines the skill and creativity that Wintermute brings to realising stories into musical concepts. Very nice!

I've always had a soft spot for that Korg M1 pad, lovely intro, especially like that zapping start when the beat comes in (sounds like a heavy flanged/pitched shifted effect). Once again I'm struck by the layers of interesting sounds, the high semi detuned note that floats above the pads, I like that a lot, high notes are good at stirring emotions.
This one has a similar feel to "Archaeopteryx", it seems to evoke massive expanses of wierd landscape, something like those old 70's airbrush sci fi paintings, strange alien worlds. Ahh...I'm at the end here, and I'm getting that slow beat reprise, thats a nice trademark of yours, kind of rounds things off with a laid back chill beat. Lots of detail, I'll hear more on subsequent listens, suffice to say, I'd agree with Fourier, this could be one of your best in my opinion. The production is top notch, lots of space and air, despite a thick lush pad soup, and lots of depth. Oh...and the beat isn't bad either, I haven't got passed the alien landscape pads yet. Very nice that Mr Bond, very nice indeed!....inspiring!
