Ok this is just one of those songs that just "work" in every respect. I can't help but feel a strong Bowie influence in both the overall theme and the progressions. At first I thought one of the "weaker" points of the production was the vocals, but they very quickly grew on me, in fact I think they really make the song :). Where this song really shines IMHO is in the music itself. Both in backing music and lyrics there is a constant progression from minimal to more complex and back??complexity within simplicity"... As I said the progressions are very "Bowie" like and have a very nice and complex "richness" to them. The lyrics themselves are clever and again reflect the theme: "complexity within simplicity". Lastly there are "hooks" that don't seem like hooks--brilliant. This one is a real keeper
What a perfectly titled piece. It is easy to imagine a cool spyish montage seqeunce running against this. Very much in the spirit of "The Mirror Conspiracy" by those gods of DT--"Thievery Corporation". I really love just about everything about this, and despite its possible TC inspired roots--seriously it really sounds like a "lost track" from TMC and not in that poserish sorta way that some other DT do--Fanboy like... But in the same way I felt the first time I heard Wolfmother--e.g. not just yet another Zepplin sound alike, but what it would LZ would sound like if they were still making music...less I digress--to late! :) But back to the track; excellent mixing and ambient too... really to be quite honest... the type of sound I aspire too... I think (IMHO) both TC and your namesake would be proud...
I really like just about everything about this track. It so much reminds me of the soundtrack to "Forbidden Planet" which as many of you may know is one of the first true "Electronic" compositions/recordings that became "Mainstream" Excellent work as always :)

I have been meaning for quite some time to comment on this track. First off anyone who takes on the infamous/famous "Children" and pulls it off so well is someone to watch. The original seems to be love and hate for a lot people, but this version is very unique unto itself. The progressive nature is very creative. DJ angelboy takes a very progressive and strong approach to his version of the composition and it really works. I have attempted this one myself at various times and I am very familiar with the various lines and sequences that Miles originally used and I know how few ways you can put them together--they are put together here in a very unique and good way... Excellent work! - WM
I really dig the sound of this track. At first the title caught my eye, since CM was the subject of my own "Spun" I wanted to see what Mr Cocktails take on the subject was. I really liked the vocal samples chosen and Mr Cocktail worked them in nicely. Even though over all I liked the "grittiness" of the track there were a few times the vocal samples seemed to "bleed" a bit (a problem I have had in the past as well) Overall a very creative and fun track which is well placed in the Tech House genre--no wonder it is already #1 in that chart ;) - WM
