second thought is an ambient/idm/experimental artist from northern england.  music is vision. 'purlieu', released through second thought records in may 2004, is set in an imaginary, desolate countryside, aiming to make the listener feel lost and disoriented.  the follow-up, 'vacuum road songs', is almost complete, with release details to follow in the future.  the album follows the journey from purlieu through a city, to its cold, inhumane centre. below you will find some sounds from 'vacuum road songs', 'purlieu' and the now-deleted 'twenty-four', plus a few other odds and ends...
