Artist/Band Profile: The Opal Drops is an unconventional synth/electro pop band in the Washington D.C. area. The Opal Drops are:

Kara - Lyrics, vocals
Dave - Programming, synths

The Opal Drops, a duo from the DC area, blend sounds from electro, drum 'n' bass, synthpop, and dark wave. Their history began over a caffeinated conversation between Dave and Kara in the Fall of 2004, which focused on the completion of Dave's latest solo album as "Maduro." The timing seemed just right for a collaboration and they agreed to become partners in rhythm and rhyme. Dave quickly began to work on new tracks and Kara started to collect lyrical fragments. Within a month they relased their first two tracks.

The Opal Drops' highly anticipated demo debut EP is currently being finalized, while the band remains unsigned.
